Real Wedding: Pasadena, California

Judith and Enoth actually met in grade school and the two were finally married this summer in a gorgeous Pasadena event. The day began with the bride getting ready at her dress designer's gallery (hence the gorgeous images of Judith surrounded by bridal dresses) and continued to a beautiful ceremony at Westminster Presbyterian Church. The couple opted to invest most of their attention into the ceremony itself, and therefore had a short and sweet reception following their vows. I am absolutely enamored with Judith's dress, and her peony bouquet is lovely!

Artistic Wedding Cakes: Maggie Austin

These Maggie Austin cakes are truly some of the most artistic I've ever seen...they are so completely lovely! Some of them look more like sculptures than cakes, and those ruffles look like they are paper thin. So creative and beautiful.

Happy Thanksgiving

I hope you're all having a lovely Thanksgiving, spending times with friends and family and enjoying some good food! I am grateful for a lot of things this year, and want to take a moment and thank all of you for reading. There are a lot of things in store for the future, including a brand new site, and I truly look forward to sharing it with all of you. Happy Thanksgiving!

Real Wedding: Trabuco Canyon, California

I am loving the funky printed dresses and the bride's fabulous bouquet in these images from Paige + Blake Green! Sara & Parker were married in Trabuco Canyon, California this summer and I love the retro vibe to their event.

Real Wedding: Boulder, Colorado

Adrienne and Evan opted for a unique wedding day schedule, beginning with a morning ceremony under Boulder’s famed Flatirons on the lawn at Chautauqua Park. Immediately following the ceremony, they treated their guests to coffee and pastries from their favorite local coffee shop and a ride back downtown from Boulder’s own Banjo Billy Bus Tours. The couple climbed in a pedicab decorated with a sign hand-made by a close friend and toured around downtown making a stop at the farmers’ market before returning to the hotel as well.

Guests were let loose for the afternoon, free to explore the downtown, surrounding trails and all that Boulder has to offer before an evening reception that was held at the landmark Hotel Boulderado. The bride’s love of lavender flowers infused the day; she chose d├ęcor and dresses that fit the mood of the morning ceremony, and the two had their cake created with a fondant replica of the lace adorning Adrienne's dress.

Real Wedding: Glendale, Arizona

Krisann & Steven were married in a lovely Fall wedding at Sahuaro Ranch Park, complete with several unique details. They laid out birdseed bags to be filled by each guests and tossed at the couple, and personalized bottles of Jones Soda for the reception. The hand written table assignments added to the rustic vibe and I love the ampersand that the couple posed with for pictures! {All photos by Jennifer Weems Photography}

Quick Palette: Teal and Chartreuse

I am so in love with this color palette that I think I just might use it as inspiration for decorating our new house! And to start off, I bought this amazing print from Anna Emilia. She is an incredibly talented artist from Finland...I can hardly wait for it to arrive!

Flower "Veil"

This definitely falls into the category of "wish I was cool enough to pull this off" but I am so in love with this over-sized organza flower. It reminds me of something you would see at an English wedding...elegant and just the slightest bit funky. {Found at Style by SOCA via Thoughtful Day}

Terrain Styled Real Wedding

Anna and Chris had such a beautiful wedding, that incorporated both tuxedos and personal DIY style all in one event. Anna is a textile designer, so the couple utilized gorgeous quilts and fabrics throughout the event. The table assignments were listed on a giant framed chalkboard and a bluegrass band entertained guests during the cocktail hour. The couple utilized simple metal lanterns as centerpieces (genius) and had a local baker create pies made from family recipes. They helped develop the aesthetic and decor for the event from a designer at Terrain, which is surely why I love every bit of this wedding!
