An absolutely brilliant way to customize a plain tote, from Ashley Ann Photography. She took a doily and used it as a stencil, then added in a monogram. Genius! You can read the full instructions (and see more gorgeous photos) on Ashley's blog. {Found via Design*Sponge}

What an amazing idea, it's such a romantic look! I love the DIY projects on Design*Sponge but I must have missed this one. Thanks for sharing.
This morning there were a few paper doilies on my desk and I was trying to figure out what I should do with them. Now I know...thanks!
This really is a great idea. I'm looking into what I can do with plain totes for welcome bags right now so this could be just the thing.
Love it! What great wedding party gifts! I think I might "borrow" this idea for Christmas next year as well for our gift basket goodies to go in :)
Love this craft!! so chic!
Would also LOVE your support on the ELLE DECOR window I did for the Big Window Challenge this year with Apartment Therapy. Check it out at http://www.bigwindowchallenge com. As we all know, AT doesn’t make it easy, but you can vote TWICE a day, once online and the other by texting “1” to 89800.
Your support means the world to me!!
