Tree & Kimball Giveaway

It's been awhile since there has been a giveaway around here, so when the extremely sweet Lisa of Tree & Kimball offered up one of her necklaces I jumped at the chance! Lisa is currently in the midst of planning her own wedding, and as such she would love to giveaway a necklace to one of you. The winner will pick a necklace from her store (that includes the sold items) and Lisa will customize the chain and beads to your liking. In her own words, "I am very happy to work with winner to design something perfect for her." See? When I said she was sweet, I meant it.

Since I am sure a lot of you will be traveling over the holiday weekend, I will leave the contest open until midnight (CST) on Wednesday, July 8th. Simply comment on this post between now and then and answer the following question - What DIY projects (if any) are you creating (or did you create) for your wedding? The winner will be randomly chosen and announced at the end of next week. Good luck!

What beautiful necklaces!
My fiance is a graphic designer, so he is designing all of the stationery.
I am making the decor for the escort card table, as well as all of the escort cards.
We're also doing all the reception centerpieces, as well as garland for the reception venue.

GORGEOUS necklace!! I don't think I'd order a custom one, as that yellow beauty would go with my 'day after brunch' dress perfectly!

What am I NOT DIY'ing would be a better question... but I think the photobooth is turning out best of all of the projects I've taken on!

D.I.Y. ...where to start? Centerpieces (made with foam roses vases damask ribbon), Boutonnierres, Bouquets, cufflinks, veil, fascinators, guest book quilt, I love them all and there's still more to come! I love to craft and for our wedding it just makes it that much more special!

I love Tree & Kimball's necklaces! For our wedding, I DIY'd most on the paper goods with my Gocco, incl. programs, menus, and thank you cards.

I'm doing as much DIY as possible! We're planning on doing our invites and just bought a laser printer on eBay, our favors (DIY coasters), placecards, menus, table numbers and programs. I'm loving everything DIY these days, especially with a "recession" budget!

I will be making our RSVP cards, reception inserts, bridesmaids' hairpieces, my birdcage veil, pocket squares for the groomsmen, and maybe some embroidery of our favorite bible verses and poetry to put in frames for the reception tables. Oh and maybe some aisle decorations for the ceremony! :)

Oh my gosh her stuff is so cute. I have been DIYing a lot for my wedding:
- stamping save the dates/invites
- sewing clutches for Bridesmaids
- making cufflinks for groomsmen
- sewing sreerved flowers
- embroidered hankies for MOG, MOB, FOG, FOB, and FH
- made soap for 2 bridal showers, and little planted flowers for another
- made escort cards
- sewed my ring pillow
- gifts for kids at the wedding
- making table runners
- planning on making program fans, wedding signs and a few others things

I am sure I am missing a few things . . . but that is my DIY list at the moment

What fun! We're making table decorations, including felted rocks and Sonobe module icosaheda. We'll be making the desserts and snacks, I'm hoping to weave newspaper baskets for the out of town goodies, and we'll plan for more things as we go along.

I'm crossing my fingers on this giveaway! It's too precious!

we're decoupaging letters that say "eat" for the food table," "drink" for the bar, "sign" for the guestbook table, etc. we're also making poms out of tissue paper to hang from the ceiling and doing our own centerpieces with one large hydrangea per table.we're having a photobooth, and guests will cut out a strip for us and place it in our guestbook along with a note.

My whole wedding is DIY! I am really excited about the centerpieces! They are coming together so cute! I figured since I am creative and most of my friends are creative we can pull this wedding off! Its going to be beautiful!

Ooh, so pretty. I'm making all the flowers and decorations, invites and other paper pieces, and my mom is making the dress out of my grandmother's wedding dress lace (the same dress my mother wore.)

I am not a big DIYer but i made our save the dates and I am making table runners. Oh yeah, and my mom and I will be doing all the flowers!

These necklaces are beautiful! We're planning on folding origami flowers and attaching leaves on which each guest's name will be written. They'll serve as both decoration and placecards! And since we have only 50 guests, it's a pretty manageable project.

I am doing many crafts for the weddings. Ribbon decorations for the rows at the church, decorations and decorating vintage handkerchiefs.

This jewelery is so pretty!

This jewelry is beautiful... Between my mom and myself, we've made the flower girl dress, all the bridesmaid's jewelry, wine charms to hang on wine glasses as the favor, save-the-date postcards, some arrangements for the reception, fabric squares for every table at the reception, and the bracelet I will wear. It's been a lot of work but a lot of fun!

Might be easier to explain what we're not DIYing...

We're doing ourselves:
-The food (with help)
-Drinks (sparkling lemonade will be made)
-Flowers and all the things that go with it (flowergirl basket, for example)
-Invitations, thank you cards, programs
-Jewelry

We're also employing friends to help with photography, hair, make-up and heaps more things. It's a whole bridal brigade, if you will.

What pretty necklaces.
I'm planning to diy quite a bit including invites, flowers and my dress - with a lot of help from my mum.

I made these gorgeous fabric escort cards! Everyone loved them. The fabric corresponded to the napkins on your table!!!!

I am making citronella candles (puerto rico wedding) from scratch using jam and pickle jars for the containers and then stringing them up with wire.
And since we are going to be in a hot climate I am making homemade popsicles for guests to enjoy before they get to cocktail time.
I would also like to make paper flowers for the women to wear behind their ears.

I LOVE those necklaces...
I will be delegating or DIY my entire wedding with the exception of rentals and catering. My mom is growing flowers for my grandma to arrange, I am a designer and will handle all the print materials, we've asked skilled friends to photograph, bartend, dj, etc. My aunt is making my 2 dresses. A lot to do but we have 2 years to get it all done.

We haven't really started planning yet, but we're planning on doing a lot of it ourselves. We've been saving glass milk jugs for centerpieces, looking for inspiration for designing our invites and practicing with paper mache for making our own lanterns. It's going to be interesting!

Most of my wedding is DIY bit the thing I am most proud off is my escort card holder.

I took an old wooden frame and spray painted it white. I attached ribbon of all diffrent kinds of textures and designs to the back. I will be attaching the cards with clothes pins.

I am posting a photo blog tonight and will be sure to post a picture of it.

I am not DIYing anything (I have no artistic talent), so I think I am most in need of something free given how much $ this wedding is costing me!! :)

I will have 1.5 years to plan my wedding which means I will have a DIY list much longer than I can manage by the time it’s here. Right now, I’m working on our Save the Dates – I’m goccoing them. First, I’m making silhouettes of all the important places in our lives (or clearly, of an object that represents them). I’m also working with a designer to make a bolero that matches my dress using my mother’s veil. I think customizing the giveaway is the kindest gesture ever and I adore your work! Thank you.

We made our own save the dates (a pic of frosted cupcakes we made with the date and our initials!), tissue pomanders, ribbon belts for my beautiful bridesmaids and rice krispie treats for our candy bar! Does it count if we glued and assembled out own invitations? =)

angelica said...

We are making our own invites, doing our own eco-friendly tote favors for the adults and for kids, we are putting a coloring book together.

Ale said...

Funny should ask! I just finished my save-the-dates yesterday! (the design at least). I already finished my centerpiece (gotta make 11 more versions, haha). And now it's on to invitations!

We are making our own floral arrangements, decor decorations and bridal party gifts.

Love this necklace!
